This interview really made me pause and think about the influence that Natalie Goldberg and Writing Down The Bones has had on me.
Her impact was huge. This was pre-Internet, but just to feel like there was a writing teacher out there like her made such a difference.
We don’t always need to have a personal relationship with our writing teachers. In some ways, I feel like my relationship with Natalie Goldberg is more pure because it has only been through her writing.
