Thank You For Having Me!

I receive a steady stream of requests for my time. And even though I can’t possibly say “yes” to them all, I try and show up as much as I possibly can. Although it’s tricky when I’m in book-writing mode, rather than book-promotion mode, like I am now. Regardless of how much I’m writing, I make sure I get out at least once a month, in addition to my monthly gig with the Northwest Author Series.

So if you are looking for a panelist, speaker, or workshop presenter in the greater Portland area, I hope you will drop me a note.

Thanks so much to the following folks for their hospitality this fall:

Rose City Romance Writers Thanks to Susan Liwanag for inviting me to present for the Rose City Romance Writers. What a great, supportive, and friendly bunch! I highly recommend this group for any romance writers in the Portland Metro area who are looking for a tribe of like-minded and successful writers. In fact, I just referred a writer to them last week.

The Southern Oregon Chapter of Willamette Writers If you live in Southern Oregon near Ashland or Medford and you are looking for a group of supportive and eager-to-learn writers, this chapter of Willamette Writers is for you. I always enjoy visiting this group and on this particular trip I especially enjoyed spending the afternoon with writers from across the genres as we discussed the all-important role of author platform. Go SoORWW! And special thanks to Phil Messina.

Dan Blank’s, We Grow Media This virtual 40-minute appearance (interview) went out live and is archived for viewing over at www.wegrowmedia.com. (Be sure to use your volume control. I should have used my microphone.) Check out Dan’s other interviews and entire site. He’s got tons of media experience to share with writers and publishers and he brings a decidedly thoughtful approach to the table. (Also check out his interview with Jane Friedman, if you have a chance.) Thanks for taking the time to create this interview series, Dan!

Okay, well it’s back to the writing trenches for me. Hope to connect with you in-person at my next live event!
